Upload files instead of Related Links

I'd like to upload files to Connections or to Box.com, Dropbox, Google Docs, etc. instead of having to set up an internal file sharing location that is designed to be used from a web browser.

  This would be very helpful for us because we are not able to use online file sharing sites such as Dropbox or Google Docs dus to security concerns. We'd have to go through a vendor approval process to use one, but since we're already using Connections Online, if we could just upload certain documents onto the server, it would make it much easier to share project documentation. Today, we're referencing files in shared drive folders, or using our Intranet to upload the files - so we have to go store/upload the file somewhere else, and then link to it.

  We have been working on a building a third-party file upload system that uses Connections Online security to secure the files. The caveat is that the service will not be sold through Connections Online / Cardwell, but rather directly through Sypher Technology (my company). Signing up and paying for the service will be separate, but the upload and download of files will be integrated into the normal Connections Online interface.

  Sypher Technology also  handles software development, hosting, and technical support for Connections Online. So, in a round-about way, we aren't a new vendor for you, but I'm not sure if your organization will want to go through the vendor approval process anyhow.

  Site administrators can now add file uploading to Related Links from the site admin tab.
