Monthly Summary Chart for Parent/Roll-up Metrics

We have set up some metrics on our Department page where child metrics roll up to the parent metric. Is there a way to have a graph on the Department page for each parent metric that will show each month’s values that have rolled up? This metric does not currently have a graph area like most metrics usually do.
