Customizable Date Formats on Metric Charts

It would be nice to be able to specify a date format to display on the metric chart x-axis instead of relying on the default formats of "D. Mmm" (6. Feb) or times displayed as "HH:MM" (18:00). Specifically, the ability to choose to only show month names (March) and not show days or times.

Some useful formats include:

• Month name only (March)
• US-format simple date only (3/12)
• US-format simple date and time (3/12 4:00 PM)
• Month, day, and year (3/12/2015 or 2015-03-12)

  We decided to just remove the x-axis labels instead of having to allow custom formats. This also helped with the fact that metrics entered on the last day of one month would line up with the label for the next month, which was causing all kinds of confusion.
