Completed tasks

Questions and comments about completed tasks (received through e-mail)...

Once a project is completed and marked as complete or retired any associated tasks still appear on my task list.  They are crossed off as complete, but will they always be there?

We will be implementing a filter option on all of the task lists so that you can choose to view

• open tasks (not completed)
• open and recently completed tasks
• completed tasks from open projects
• tasks from completed projects (archived / retired)
• all tasks

Until the filter is available, we are showing all of the tasks.  The new filter will be available as soon as we can get to it in our list of improvements to make. 

Maybe if there is a module or report for retired projects that would include all of the tasks.  It would be helpful to have that information stored, however the task list does get long after awhile when you are working on a lot of projects like me.  The retired stage sounds the most logical for when the tasks are removed from the people tab.  I don’t want to remove myself from the tasks once completed so I will just minimize it for now.

Absolutely.  A report to show completed projects and tasks is a good suggestion.

We will also eventually have a search option so you can search through all projects and tasks.  Since the new database is designed to keep old information archived, the search will become a very powerful tool to look back at previous projects and tasks.
