Security - Red Negative or Grey Circle
Setting Security – Difference between red negative and leaving the circle grey
The system does not allow you to put a red negative on the Default (top) row.
Red Negative denies access to that user/group regardless of other security settings that might give them access. The grey circle only affects that security row and it will allow access if another security setting allows them access.
If Default security is Read, and user A has a grey circle under Read, user A will have Read access. If user A has a red circle under Read, user A won’t have Read access.
