What is an Active Project?

Active projects refer to projects that have a sponsor and have started but not ended. These projects are listed on the Dashboard for the currently selected period. When looking at this list it is important to note that the Project's status does not effect the fact that it is active in the dashboard.

To be an active project on the performance management dashboard a project must have 3 things

• There must be a sponsor on the project.
• The project's Actual Start Date must be set. (It is important to make sure the Actual start date is set and not just the projected start date as both of these dates will appear in the same place on the project page..)
• The projects Actual End Date must either not be set or set in the future (which under most circumstances is not recommended.).

Once a project has these three things it will show up as active in the dashboard.
