After months of preparation and behind-the-scenes updates, we have finally completed our move of Connections Online from our servers in the Louisville Peak 10 data center into the Microsoft Azure cloud. The transition occurred on Sunday night into early Monday morning.
Since the move, we have been focused on fixing any issues that were caused by the new environment. This week, we did experience periods of extremely slow or even timing out pages, but I believe we have the bulk of that figured out now. A big thank you to everyone who submitted support tickets to help us quickly track down the issues.
Over the next few weeks, we will continue to work on behind-the-scenes improvements to help speed up the application. Please let us know immediately if you have any issues by clicking the Create Support Ticket at the bottom of most pages in Connections Online or by emailing us at support@connectionsonline.net.
Now that this transition is wrapping up, we have a few new features that will be rolling out in the coming months. First, we will be adding SAML compatibility to our Single Sign-On options. That should be available some time in June. Next, we will be adding a new notification system to send out emails when things important to you happen in Connections Online. That is currently scheduled to be rolled out some time in the third quarter.
Finally, we are still on track to release the next major version of Connections Online in November. Stay tuned for more information on that in the coming months.
