Update to Connections Online -
Site Admin Page
Org/Dept and Employee Modules – Search and Excel Export: The Organization/Department module and the Employee Module will be paginated. There will only be 10 Organizations/Departments displayed in the module at a time (with the page advance at the bottom of the module), and only 20 employees at a time displayed on the Employee Module (with the page advance at the bottom of the module). To see all of the information for the Org/Dept or Employee module, you will see a clip board symbol – click the symbol and the entire list of Org/Depts or Employees will export to an Excel document. You can view all the information from that module in the Excel report.
If you want to search on a column, type in the information you are looking for, click the search symbol next to the search field, and the module will resort to display the information you searched.
User Interface Modifications
The modules on the right side bar of the page are now muted in color – the main column contains the only modules that have colored title bars.
On each tab, there is a picture easily identifying the type of tab (organization has a picture of a building, the department tab has a picture of 2 people, the project tab has a picture of a notebook…)
You can now use “bread crumb” navigation links. Found at the top of the page, you now can easily navigate to the department or organization that the department, project and person you are viewing are associated with.
Bug Fixes
The edit text box (WYSIWYG) issues have been addressed to eliminate loading, and freezing issues.
Speed improvements continue to be added.
Archiving issues were addressed.
Security issues were addressed.
Report issues regarding project categories listed on the Org/Dept reports as well as project completion were fixed.
When printing reports, the html tags appear but if you export the report to Excel, the report doesn’t have the html tags unless you have used colors in the edit text box. This bug has been reported to the developers of the report writer we use. We are looking at other ways to solve this problem.
If you wish to see the bug list and track resolution of bugs, please create an account in the “Report a Bug” program that we use. You will be notified through email as bugs are reported and resolved. This can be accessed through the “Report a Bug” link at the bottom of the Connections Online tabs. You can also report a bug using this link. Please provide as much information as possible to make resolution quicker.
