CARDWELL GROUP CONNECTIONS ONLINE™ 3.0
SMART ENTERPRISE SUITE INTEGRATES WITH MICROSOFT® OUTLOOK®, WORD®, EXCEL® AND PROJECT®
Westlake, OH -- Connections Online (COL) 3.0 Smart Enterprise Suite is being released to customers, and Cardwell Group announces that among the new features are integration with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Project; new security features; bulletin boards; and a new maintenance contract that provides e-learning, COL templates with industry data, and free user upgrades, user conferences and technical support.
"In our market research, we were surprised to learn that nearly all of our credit union clients are using Microsoft Project," said Jim Cardwell, founder of Cardwell Group, the developers of COL. "Our desire to integrate Outlook was already a catalyst for the Microsoft integration concept. Adding Project as well as Excel and Word will help our customers better manage their strategic projects within the context of their credit union goals."
"Integrating Excel also enables our clients managing with a Balanced Scorecard approach to integrate business performance measurement standards easily between COL and Excel. And organization-wide for any client, the Outlook integration will improve efficiency because it allows one-click access to COL from the Outlook menu, and dialogues and priority dates are now automatically synched with the Outlook calendar."
Additional features include the ability to use a PDA to add and change tasks, appointments and deliverables; to use Word to create Individual Connections and seamlessly upload to COL; and to quickly export data and reports from COL for Board reports, Gantt charts, or graphs. New security allows the credit union to add or limit access to any part of COL, giving the option to integrate the Board into a strategic level or outside vendors into specific strategic projects. Bulletin Boards foster ongoing conversation on, for example, business priorities.
"The addition of E-Learning will allow organization-wide training at anytime, in anyplace, and may even be taken from an employees own desk," said Karla Norwood, who conducts training and implementation of COL for the Cardwell Group. "COL 3.0 also includes documentation through the system that training has been completed."
