Jim Cardwell’s Educational Webinar: “The Framework and Philosophy of Connections Online” on Thursday, August 19th at 1:30 p.m. EST
During our June User Roundtable, our customers asked for a recorded presentation on the framework and philosophy of Connections Online.
This Educational Webinar will help new users understand Connections as an organization performance ecosystem. It is a strategic planning and execution process that builds organizational performance clarity, multi-level accountability and company-wide teamwork. It creates transparency, stimulates meaningful dialog and builds organizational pride.
Jim Cardwell will lead this presentation. He will show how Connections helps people “run the business.” This webinar can be used to reinforce fundamentals—and it will help orient new employees to the Connections process.
Jim will be presenting this webinar on Thursday, August 19th at 1:30 EST. I hope you will join us.

4.0 Tips of the Month
Reminder - New Report: We have created a simple report similar to the report from Version 3.2 for the Organization or Department Connections that allows people to export the Metric or Project list modules to either Excel or Word. (Some people want these modules in an MS Office format when preparing the Board package.) You can also export the report into a PDF file format. This does not replace any reports on the report module. Follow these instructions to use this report: On your Organization or Department Tab (on the related link module) create a related link titled Org Dept Simple Report. In the link, copy and paste this link: https://report.connectionsonline.net/Org3.2.aspx?sid=#SESSIO N#&s=#SITE#
Copy and Paste with Internet Explorer: If you are using Internet Explorer and want to copy and paste in any of the web editor edit boxes, you cannot use the right click copy and paste functions. You will need to use the control C = Copy, control V = Paste, and control X = Cut functions to copy, paste and cut text. Example: to copy from a Word document and paste into your Agenda, after copying from the Word document, use control V to paste it into the Agenda edit box.
Temporary Passwords (when using the “forgot your password” feature):
§ The password is case-sensitive and usually has a bunch of characters that may be easy to confuse with other characters (lowercase Ls and uppercase Is, for example.) Using cut-and-paste to copy the password from the e-mail to the login page usually works the best.
§ The password only lasts one hour, so it is best to try it as soon as you receive the e-mail.
§ If you request a temporary password more than once, only the last one requested is valid.
§ If you receive more than one e-mail with a temporary password, this could mean that you requested it more than once (so only the last one is valid), or you have more than one account tied to your e-mail address, and the application sent one password for each of your accounts. In this case, you just have to pick the password from the e-mail that lists the account name of the account that you are trying to access. The account name should be listed in bold in the paragraph above the temporary password.
§ Before you log out, go to your People page, click on the pencil next to your name, and change the password to a permanent one, then click save.
