Metrics in Connections Online are designed to help teams track meaningful performance data over time. Most organizations update their metrics monthly, but the system is flexible. You can enter values as often as you need, whether that’s weekly, quarterly, or whenever new data becomes available.
Each metric value you enter becomes part of the historical record for that metric, allowing you to see trends, progress toward goals, and changes over time.
How Metric Values Are Entered
- You can add a new value at any time
- You can edit or delete values if corrections are needed
- Values appear in lists, dashboards, and reports
- Owners are responsible for keeping their metrics up to date
Most teams follow a monthly rhythm because many business KPIs (loans, deposits, call volume, member growth, etc.) are calculated monthly. But the system doesn’t enforce a schedule, you can enter as often as needed.
Number Formatting for Metric Values
Connections Online supports standard number formatting patterns similar to Excel, Google Sheets, and other business tools. These formats control how values appear in lists and dashboards, without changing the underlying data.
Users can choose formats that match the type of metric they’re tracking.
