- Choose the page where the metric belongs: Organization, Department, Project, or Individual Connection.
- Click the Metrics tab for that page type to view existing metrics and add a new one.
- Click the
icon in the page header to add a new metric or right click an existing metric to insert a new metric:
- before - with a rank before the selected metric
- after - with a rank just after the selected metric
- under - as a child of that metric. Ex: If the selected metric was 2. then the child would be 2.1
- Fill out the new metric information such as:
- Name: Give your metric a clear, specific title
- Type/Ancestor: Should be loaded with the current page as the ancestor, but you can choose a new location for your metric if desired.
- Rank: The metrics positioning on the list, (ex: 1, 4, 4.1). If left blank the metric will be put at the end of the list for the specified page/ancestor.
- Owner(s): Assign responsibility (can be individuals or teams)
- Format: Will choose how metric values are displayed. Some examples are listed below.
- Initial Thresholds: Metric thresholds will set your goals for the metric with minimum, meets and exceeds breakpoints.
- Description: Explain what’s being tracked and why
- Once saved, it becomes visible in the Metrics tab and updates can be tracked over time.
